For me the winter scrapbooking season is a time to catch up and get organized. There is more time spent inside with the cold weather so I tend to work more on scrapbooking. It is also a great time to go through my supplies in preparation for my local scrapbooking stores spring tag sale.

Try to capture the fun of the season in your pictures. To me winter is a time for reflection. While people don’t hibernate like animals we do spend more time inside and sleep more during the days with less light. It is a time to curl up by the fire with your family, to rush around less, play board games, read and do crafts.
Want free embellishments for your scrapbooking? Use scraps and extra supplies to make tags and other embellishments. Another great way to embellish is to have your kids paint, stamp or draw on cardstock. These can be used as is or further embellished with glitter or edging to really make them stand out.
