Scrapbooking Technique – Embellished Paper Clips

By Lisa West

I hope you give this fun scrapbooking technique a try. First, I use alcohol inks to change the color of the paper clip by putting the nose of the ink bottle directly along the clip then just let it dry on a paper towel. To keep the colors vibrant, don't wipe the drips too much with your paper towel.

I find the painted wooden pieces at craft shops, A.C. Moore, Michael's, ect. I usually use the same shape on each side of the clip but if you don't want it so thick, you can use a button on the opposite side.

Measure two-part pour-on epoxy, I use EnvroTex Lite. Then, following the box directions, I spread a little on the back of each wooden piece and sandwich the top of the clip in between. Let it set as directed for hardening. Make sure you use the correct end of the clip for the topper. See pictures.
