There are a variety of scrapbooking supplies you need while you work. Take a look at our categories and see which supplies you may be interested in. Our recommendations and reviews come from people who scrapbook regularly and our love it to leave it scale will help you determine how effective the items are.

Many times new scrapbooking supplies will hit the market and there is a fast rush to be the first on your block to get it. Then a few months later the price drops or there is an even better product released. After over a decade of scrapbooking fads I am finding myself to be much more in tune with my scrapbooking style and more discriminating with my scrapbooking supplies purchases. I always say to myself, will I REALLY use this product or this item.

For scrapbooking inspiration you can look at scrapbooking magazines or scrapbooking idea books. Another great source for scrapbooking ideas are advertisements, displays and anything else that catches your eye. Look at the way the items are balanced on the page or the way the colors are used for effect and try something similar on your layout.

Once you possess all the tools in the basic scrapbooking tool kit you will find you will need some additional tools to add to your arsenal. See our must have tools which contains some optional reviewed tools so you can decide what is best to get with your scrapbooking dollar.

Are you going to be using a lot of lettering in your titles? Do you like shaped cut outs? Then check out our scrapbooking cutting tool page describing what types of machines are out there and what they do. If you don’t have a good scrapbooking store near you or even if you do. The allure of a monthly kit subscription is big. There are a variety of Scrapbooking kits on the market depending on what you are looking for.

If you are traveling to crops or other scrapbooking events you will need a rolling tote of some kind to bring your supplies. Personally I have two one for my supplies and one for my Cricut and cartridges.

Some other useful tools to have on hand are stamps and punches. There are a variety of stamps available some use an acrylic block and lie flat in packaging to store; others are pre-mounted on wood or foam. They can all color and if you add embossing powder and some heat even a little texture. Punches come in all shapes and sizes and can be used to punch shapes, round corners or create designs on your paper.

Be sure to check our home page for more updates on scrapbooking supplies.
