Scrapbooking Idea – Hidden Journaling

Try using this scrapbooking idea when you have things you want to document but they are too personal or confidential to journal openly.

Sometimes you want to journal on a page but the words are too personal to have everyone read. Hidden journaling works great for this. There are many ways to hide your journaling but the easiest is a piece of folded card stock. On the inside write your journaling and on the outside put a photo or decorate with patterned paper.

In the above layout I used a photo on the outside and a carstock sticker of a butterfly was used as both an embellishment and a handle to open the hidden journaling. On half the butterfly on the underside I had to use a scrap of cardstock to cover the pre-glued side.

Sometimes the look of journaling will detract from a simple layout so using this hidden journaling idea is a good alternative.
