What's old has become new again, so a variety of free digital scrapbooking vintage image sources have recently popped up on the Internet. Granted, it's easier to find free vintage embellishments than vintage scrapbook papers, because the embellishments are really just stand-alone digital vintage images. These include clip art; greeting cards and postcards; antique perfume, fruit crate and cigar box labels; old movie, travel and war posters and many other forms of what is known as “vintage ephemera” because of its ephemeral or fleeting nature. Most vintage art was never meant to stick around; it's only through the magic of scanning and digital imagery that we have any of it left today.
It's much harder to find free scrapbook papers that incorporate vintage images, because they take a bit of work to create. But you'll find vintage scrapbook paper freebies on most of the sites below. I’m sure you’ll find they will complement your photos and memorabilia beautifully and maintain a timeless look for years to come.
